123 Kevin Withnell siezed his engine 500metres from the finish. He pushed it out of the way.

Bike 90 has been reported to have stopped about 10km away from finish as he has run out of fuel.
Bike 24 has just finished and will be given a 15 minute time credit for stopping to assist an injured rider.

Logan Trigg, Local boy just moved up 21 places from his start position. He finished with a flat rear wheel.
922 Rodney Bellotti, another local boy, finished 7 places higher than his start position.

Update on Chris Thomas, he had a crash and an arguement with a tree and has torn the right arm of his suit but he is okay.
Paul Brown has reported that he rode around 40km on his flat rear tyre.

851 Clifford Hills and Matt Adams finished his lap but had run out of time. This is because he had stopped in the river. The maximum time limit is 5 hours and Clifford finished in 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Bike number 2, rider Paul Brown finished his lap in 2:13:50. He finished with a flat rear tyre.
Bike 104, rider Warren Kempton and bike 15 , Adam clay have finished.

737 Stephen Mitchell finished with a time of 2:15:11. Stephen blitzed the race today. Hammering it through the finish line. He finished in 2 minutes after Ivan Erceg.

We should be thankful for all the photographers and volunteers we have out here at the Gascoyne Dash. The sun is burning and they would feel really uncomfortable.
All the cars are finished now. The bikes are about 5 minutes away from finish.

David Lawn 110 has sustained a leg injury and has been attended to by the very efficient medical staff. He is reported to be okay.

Vern Strange, Todd Smith and Ivan Erceg have been reported to have gone through the Junction checkpoint. They are about half way around the track.

736 Ted Schultz and Rick Andreoli have just finished in their new jeep cherokee, the first outing for the new car. The crew stopped 5 times with overheating problems. They waited till the car cooled then refilled the water. The crew are very happy that they finished.

One of the regular AORC competitors was heard to say in impound that this event is rougher and tougher than any of the AORC rounds this year. He also said that it would be an eye opener to most of them.

737 Tara Mason with Tarry Leighton doing the navigating have also just crossed the line.

Brett Young just stormed the finish with a time of 3:00:53. 2nd car home for the nissan patrol.

Peter Barrett in the Jeep hav limped home to the pits with no 1st gear. They are out the race for the weekend.
Harley O'Brien has been reported with a broken gearbox.
The first production 4wd home is Matthew Hall and Jason Isaac in the Nissan Patrol. He came home in a time of 2:52:02. 11th car home for West Australian driver.

Garry Povah just finished with a time of 2:51:15. He is the 9th car home and he is also 2nd in extreme 4wd.
Frank Galea coming home 3 minutes after Garry with a time of 2:56:56. He is the third extreme 4WD to come home.

The 8th car to finish is Mark Murray and Daniel Smith in their Nissan Patrol. They finished with a time of 2:46:50. An outstanding effort for the first extreme 4WD to cross the line.

Brad Mudge amd Cameron Smith got a flat rear tyre 5km into the race. the crew drove cautiously for the rest of the race so they didnt get another flat.
Bernie Gwynne is happy to have finished after such a challenging race. He is pleased all the panels are still on. A comment he has made is that going through the trees it is tight and that the river is really rough.

The only extreme 2WD entry, the Gwynne boys from South Australia have just finished in a cloud of dust. He stormed home in a time of 2:32:46.

Peter Barrett and Evan Beckerleg have been reported on the recorvery radio as limping home to Coonatha on the access roads. He is out of todays race.

Brad Mudge and Cameron Smith in the razor back buggy has just finished in a time on 2:29:33. The 6th car to cross the line in saturday's Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash.

The brand new bat buggy of Brad Cooper and Mal Yeardley has just finished with 2 minutes behind the sister car. Cooper stopped at about 100km's with electical problems, the navigator got out, jiggled a few wires, reset the computer and raced the bat buggy home.

Brandon Harcus is in 4th with a time of 2:16:47. A tremendous effort for the South African owner of Bat race cars.

Brian Robinson is in Parc Ferme and the left rear tyre is slowly deflating so he is lucky to have completed the distance.
Wally Francombe and Robert Hawker have just finished, lossing fuel pressure about 10km out and backed of to bring the Jimco home. he finished with a time of 2:16:16.
